Welcome Treehugger Visitors!
A big hello to all of you folks coming over from Treehugger! Sitting here working on a new post for the weblog when I glanced at the site stats and my heart skipped a beat.
For all of you new visitors, just a quick word to help you get to know us. As Collin Dunn mentioned in his kind article on Treehugger, we are just getting started around here.
That being the case, we still have a lot of content to add and some design aspects to iron out (sorry for those of you visiting in Internet Explorer 5.5), but we are happily on our way.
Author note: I'll be honest, I'm kicking myself for not having our about pages finished yet. A good place to go after you read this post to help you get a feel for the site would be our launch post.
The Blogathon
For those who missed it, we launched this weekend in the very friendly company of many other green bloggers who participated in the 2006 Green Blogathon.
Our Future
The future road here at Alternative Source will see us adding a lot more content, posting some interesting weblog posts - please share your thoughts here with us - as well as developing some beginner level material to help get the word out to people who are just getting their feet wet in the world of alternative energy.
We'll also be launching our bi-weekly newsletter, which will have some added value over the website content in the form of a global government policy watch and some extra links and info that we find around the web.
Anyways, that's enough about us, please feel free to say hello in the comments and thanks for stopping by!
Great to have you here. I'll be looking for info to help a do it yourselfer get some solar panels up and running with the least cost.
