California Secure Transportation Energy Partnership (CalSTEP) consists of a partnership between industry, government, academic and non-profit leaders. The group is developing a fifteen year action plan to increase the state’s transportation energy efficiency and fuel diversity, and cut dependence on unstable imported oil, to be completed by years end, and has additionally written a series of near-term actions for the current year.

Ford will become the first automaker to assemble hybrid vehicles in Canada
