GE Wind Power Grows to 166 MW in Germany ★

Wind farm is coming to Michigan's Thumb ★

Morgan partners, has broken ground on a wind project in the Thumb area of Michigan to be completed in June, with a prospective total of 180 by 2008. The turbines will produce 48 megawatts of electricity annually (roughly 16,000 homes), and are to be built on farmland, with the farmers receiving $2,000 now and 4% of gross profits from the turbines. In the future some turbines may be places in the shallower waters of the Great Lakes.
